JURIAEN ANDRIESSEN probably was born in Sweden about 1607. He came to America before 1639,
and died before December 18, 1654. He was known as “Skipper” and presumably was a roving trader. He
married in Holland as her first husband, JANNETJE JANS, born about 1614; she died about 1687. She was
on record as a widow in New Amsterdam in 1654. She married as her second husband 27 Nov 1654 at New
Amsterdam, Thomas Lambertzen and was living in 1682. Thomas Lambertzen and Jannetje Jans made a
joint will 25 Oct 1682 which mentioned Jannetje’s daughter Engeltie and the children of her deceased son
and daughter.
SECOND GENERATION
ANDRIES JURIAENSEN; baptized at New Amsterdam 19 Dec 1649; died in Brooklyn 19 March 1680/81. He married about 1670 ANNITJE PRAA born about 1652 Leiden Holland; died after 1708; daughter of Peter Praa and Marie Phillipe. Andries Juriaensen was taxed at Brooklyn in 1675 and served as constable the same year.
THIRD GENERATION
ANN MARIA born about 1671 Cripplebush Kings Co. NY; bans published 17 Jan 1691 for marriage to JAN DIRCKSEN WORTMAN born 1665; son of Dirck Janse Wortman and Marytje Teunisse Denyse.
